Barcelona
Think Barcelona and so many unique attractions spring to mind: the Picasso museum, the Barceloneta beach (the oldest in the city), the Sagrada Familia and Gaudí, and his Park Güell with its surreal animal statues. All these sights make Barcelona a city rich in tourism and entertainment possibilities. Barcelona’s inhabitants speak Catalan and are proud of their traditions! With its wealth of architecture, and millions of foreign visitors each year, Barcelona really deserves its title of ‘most cosmopolitan city in Spain’. The icing on the cake is its exceptional climate – which just adds to the enchantment for the whole family!

Museums and exhibitions
The Marine Museum
It offers educational activities for children but can also be visited with a guide. Your eyes are constantly attracted by the beauty of scale models, original charts dating back to the 15th century, life-size replicas or historical instruments on display. Ave. De les Drassanes, Barcelona – Tel: (+34) 933 429 920
Every day from 10am to 8pm
The Wax Museum
The only place where it is possible to learn about Spanish history through its most famous characters and to get your picture taken with Lady Di or one of the Star Wars characters! Entertaining for the educational part, and also for the whole family with the more ‘popular’ part. It is an extraordinary trip around the world as much as in time!
Ptge. Banca 7, Barcelona – Tel: (+34) 93 317 2649
From Monday to Friday from 10 am to 1.30 pm and from 4 pm to 7.30 pm. On Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 2 pm and from 4.30 pm to 8.30 pm. In summer from 10 am to 10 pm.
The Chocolate Museum
A particularly interesting museum when you travel with children. The idea of the museum is to bring children as much as parents to discover the trades linked to chocolate, from the picking of the cocoa beans to the making of the finest chocolate pieces. Workshops are specially organised for children to allow them to handle chocolate and create their first piece, but also for the whole family as in the case of the testing session during which you learn to distinguish the different varieties of chocolate, their characteristics, and how to test/taste it… Most certainly the visitors’ favourite!
Calle Comerc 36, Barcelona – Tel: (+34) 93 268 78 78
