Marine Museum
This museum and its aquarium is a place that families will enjoy. Completely educational, this area is intended to teach young ones about water and the inhabitants of the sea. After admiring the museum’s collections and models that retrace over 300 years of Swedish maritime history, children can come face-to-face with sea horses and hermit crabs or admire the fantastic colour of the coral or the sea anemones, refuge of the always appreciated clown fish.

Volvo Museum
A real jewel of Swedish industrial savoir-faire, Volvo is one of the most famous car brands in the world. It is a chance for young and old to explore the history of the brand, to admire the impressive number of vehicles for which the brand is famous, to see the recreation of the offices of the company founders and lots of other surprises. The room devoted to prototypes is not to be missed for the futuristic and thought-provoking projects. Both an historical and enjoyable museum!

Botanical Garden
Where nature reveals its treasures…At 25 hectares, Gothenburg Botanical Garden, the largest in Sweden, is considered to be the most beautiful flower park in Scandinavia. Young or old, flower lovers will be enthralled by the magnificent array of colours which they can observe by visiting this park. From the Japanese valley to a kitchen garden, made up of aromatic plants, to the rock garden and the rose garden, thousands of species are represented. A real gem!

Slottskogen Park
Always open, this park, located in Gothenburg city centre, is a real green haven. The large areas are an enjoyable place where the family can relax together. The park also houses the Natural History Museum and a miniature zoo where children can admire the seals, penguins, pink flamingos and typical Nordic species such as moose.

Trädgårdsföreningen
Located close to the city centre, not far from the canal, this park is an ideal place for the family to enjoy the outdoors. It is particularly appreciated by younger ones for its game and relaxation areas. A visit to its big conservatories is a chance to explore numerous tropical plant species. The visit becomes even more fascinating when entering the Butterfly Conservatory where children find themselves among thousands and thousands of small multicoloured wings. A very enjoyable experience.

Liseberg
Liseberg is the biggest leisure park in Scandinavia. Over 35 fairground attractions, from the most amusing to the most breathtaking, await young and old. This park also has all types of shows, festivals and concerts during the year. Children, who love excitement, have made this place their favourite, especially due to the famous Balder, considered to be the best roller-coaster in the world. In winter, the park is illuminated and becomes a huge Christmas market. A remarkable place and always full of surprises!

Maritiman – The Floating Maritime Museum
Full steam ahead…ship’s boy! With 19 ships and a submarine moored in the city centre, this museum is the most significant of its type in the world. The tours are very educational and the numerous interactive activities make the adventure on board even more enjoyable. The discovery of this unique armada is an unforgettable journey!
