Cannes

Originally a simple fishermen’s village, Cannes now enjoys a worldwide reputation, mostly because of its International Film Festival. The Croisette which is a superb seafront promenade lined with palm trees and gardens, runs along beaches of soft sand and then becomes the focal point for film stars, fashions and feasts… Elegant as well as picturesque, as can be seen in the old town in the Suquet quarter, the city of Cannes which enjoys a mild Mediterranean climate perfectly embodies the image of the French Riviera.
