The Railway Museum
For more than 60 years now the Railway Museum has been a feature of Warsaw station. It’s a haven for steam train buffs, and probably the only place to have a complete armoured train from the German army. This museum confirms Poland’s reputation as major steam train builders.

Pole Mokotowskie Park

The ‘Old City’
No visit to Warsaw is complete without visiting Stare Mastio, the old city quarter, which features on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Completely destroyed during the Second World War, it was rebuilt as it was in the 13th century and often has the air of a historic film set about it. Look out for the young mermaid statue which stands in the middle of the market square: it’s the emblem of the city and one of the most photographed landmarks in Warsaw.
