The House of Olden Times
This house’s nine exhibition halls present scenes from the 19th and 20th centuries showing visitors how our ancestors live. Detailed models portray many aspects of life such as marriage throughout history; includes a classroom from the 1940s…plus hundreds of varied artefacts from headdresses to tools, and general clothing to toys. A trip back in time for the whole family!

Pierre Mendès France Museum
Discover and be entertained by the world around us: microbes, ants, water, the origins of the human race, and also of the planets! ‘Chez Manuel’ Museum
A museum in name only, the unique Chez Manuel houses all kinds of treasures from the past: Thai rickshaws, a fire engine, a steam engine, a helicopter, a circus wheel for dwarfs…but also smaller items such as toys, advertising signs, shoes…all in an assortment of jumbled rooms! After a visit, even the untidiest child’s bedroom will seem immaculately neat!

Snake Island
Come and discover the world of snakes, iguanas, alligators, crocodiles, turtles and many different lizards! The 250 animals of Snake Island can live in their natural habitat thanks to accurate recreations of their tropical and desert habitats: including vegetation as well as prey and predators! The island has a number of animated displays and one educational film show. This experience is sure to change your outlook on our reptile friends.

Blossac Park
Covering 9 hectares, this park is the ‘green lung’ of the city of Poitiers. A walk with the family will take you from fountains to shady paths, from flowerbeds to 100-year-old trees, from classical statues to the pergola… Stop in the English garden to admire the grotto, the basin and the gazebo, then pop into the zoo and meet the geese, ducks, budgies, parrots, dwarf goats and fish. A really relaxing time for the whole family!

Monkey Valley

The Norée Caves
The stalagmites and petrified waterfalls of these caves will amaze the whole family! You’ll spend 45 minutes marvelling at the beauties of nature.
